So recently I discovered the not so secret world of planner enthusiasts. I love to plan things but sometimes it’s just all in my head and I get forgetful. And while Facebook invites and the iPhone calendar are nice sometimes a girl needs a little more to keep her on track. I have heard a lot about the Erin Condren planners and loved the design, but it’s June and I want a planner now! Plus EC’s format just didn’t fit what I was looking for so as much as I really wanted one it just wasn’t the planner for me.
Luckily, a friend recommended Plum Paper Designs and it turned out to be just what I was looking for, well almost. For starters, PPD allows their planners to start any month of the year – I personall treat my birthday as my “New Year” so this is perfect. Also, PPD offers four types of weekly layouts which is nice. Finally, PPD has several add on sections which just so happen to be pretty in line with my goals for my upcoming 31st year. Although EC offers similar goal tracking notebooks they are separate entities and I want all of my stuff together in one notebook. As a plus, PPD is a lower price point.
So yesterday my planner arrived! Here’s a look at what’s inside:
The cover is s nice card stock and then comes with a plastic frosted covering, which I actually do not like, I would say this is the only real “flaw” with my PPD Planner.
Doesn’t the cover look so much nicer without the frosting? A lot of girls carefully snip off their covers, laminate with 10ml pockets and snap it back on, I plan on doing the same.
But here’s what’s inside:
Each monthly tab area has a notes page, calendar monthly layout and weekly layouts.
Now, if I had stopped there at the standard planner I would have spent $31
But, my favorite thing about PPD is they allowed me to add several sections to my planner to suit my planner needs. For this year I really want to focus on Household Organization, Wellness , and growing my Young Living team. And it just so happens PPD offers sections for each. I did a post on each section so I can come back and talk more about how I’m using each section.

Overall I am pretty pleased with the purchase. I also purchased my own laminator since I’d like to have some interchangeable covers and dashboards and by the time I was had a few I liked on etsy I realized I could save by making myself. I’m kinda obsessed with it already!
