Everything Bridal with David Tutera

So apparently Friday is going to be post bridal stuff day. Today I have a review of another wedding show I recently attended – Everything Bridal.

This show was extra special because it included celebrity wedding planner David Tutera! Tutera used to have a show called My Fair Wedding and now has one called Celebrations on WE. He is also wedding planner to the stars and has written several books. Needless to say, I was oh so very excited.
Tickets were available for general admission or for a VIP Brides and Breakfast – which is what I attended, along with my MOH. I was looked forward to this for weeks and but unfortunately had the worst trouble sleeping that week and was quite frankly exhausted, which I’m really mad at myself about.

The event was held at The Esplanade in Cordova and the breakfast room was so beautiful!

After some time to mingle and sip on our juice the big moment arrived – David Tutera!
David actually sat at the table next to us (those lucky brides). Breakfast was served via buffet and was good but nothing fancy. After 10minues or so of eating time we got to hear from the man of the hour. I expected David to give a talk and take a few questions but OMG he answered questions the entire time. I did my homework ahead of time and read his book – The Big White Book of Weddings (which he signed!) so asked a few follow up questions during group question time. I also got to ask him one on one specific thoughts on my wedding!!!! I don’t want to say what because I want our guests, some of whom may be reading this, to not know about all the details before it even happens but I will say that in the course of my ultimate question I gave an overview of the wedding and he stopped me twice to say he loved certain aspects. Agh!!!!!
And of course he was nice enough to pose for a picture
There was also a group shot with all the brides and guests
Tickets to breakfast also included early admission to the show. Meeting a celebrity wedding planner was cool but the real accomplishment of the day was meeting who is now our wedding coordinator!!! I had such a good feeling about Tiffany (her business is CreaTif Designs, how cute is that?) and set up an appointment on the spot; thankfully Shaun loved her too! Carrie and I took this cute pic at her booth
And she gave me this sweet hanger for my dress
Speaking of my dress . . .
An hour into the show David came in to talk to the general crowd and again answered questions. One bride asked advice on what kind of dress to wear and it became a thing so yep, I jumped on it and showed David a picture of the dress – he gave a few recommendations on alterations to make it look even better but said it was a good choice! Carrie got the advice on video and you better believe the seamstress will be shown said video.
As far as the actual show the majority of vendors were planners and rentals which was interesting because there were no planners at The Pink Bride. I guess though if I was a planner I would want to affiliate with the most famous person in my industry too.
A few vendor thoughts:
Drapers catering appetizers were delicious!
and Classic party rentals had these really cool greenery panels
Overall it was a really fun day. Meeting Tiffany was a huge weight off my shoulders and having the David Tutera seal of approval (even if he was just being nice) made me feel good about what I’m doing. Between a busy day and finally feeling less stressed I got some good sleep that night!
