I’m going to be real with y’all - I LOVE the look of @selkie gowns, but they just don’t fit my lifestyle. Why the closet project? Once upon a time there was a woman who loved clothes and bought clothes all the time. But even though her closet was overflowing she often found her self with nothing to wear. She bought clothes without thinking about if they would go with other items in her closet. She bought clothes she didn’t love because they fit and she thought she had to be grateful just to find something in her size. She bought clothes thinking this will look great when I loose 10lbs. She bought clothes for hypothetical events rather that what she actually needed clothes for. And she bought clothes based on trends and styles featured in magazines rather than what she actually felt good in. Over time she realized she has thousands of dollars worth of clothes with the tags still on them or worn once only to be shoved in the back of the closet. While I am this woman I know that this woman exists all over the world too because I learned this behavior and I see this behavior from others. One day I decided enough was enough and I started looking at my wardrobe as a whole and I want to help you do the same. Episode Two is now available - link in bio

Hope your week is off to a great start 💙 Today I took the day off work and we had a lunch date and worked on chores around the house in the afternoon. I’ve been feeling so many emotions lately so I knew I needed time to rest and relax this weekend but still had to take care of my adult responsibilities so an extra day was needed 😉 If there’s only one thing I ever inspire you on here I hope it’s thar it’s ok to make yourself a priority 😘

Weekend plans: sleep in, snuggle dogs, treat myself to lunch out and a movie 💕 My matching pajamas and robe are the perfect pieces for a lazy Saturday and they’re on sale this weekend with the @draperjames buy more save more sale. Cheers to the almost weekend, spilling the tea with a life update ☕️ A lot of people ask about the adoption process and I’m always happy to share our experience. We just had our six month check in and right now we are family number 296 of 466 - while a birth family could pick us tomorrow the reality is the average wait time is over 2 years. So we have to live each day being prepared that it COULD happen tomorrow but realistically WON’T happen for a while. One thing our agency does is that when a birth family doesn’t want to pick an adoptive family the agency will match a family from the top 10 list - the families that have been waiting the longest. If adoptions continue at the same rate as they have the past year we will be a top 10 family in October 2023. So while it would be great to be chosen to parent before then we are patiently waiting knowing that each month that passes even if we aren’t chosen it’s another month closer to our end goal regardless.
