I was going to do a review on each one of these but figured I could condense them into one post. Please keep in mind these were my personal experiences for products that I paid for.
Sephora hand and foot mask
These were supposed to be super moisturizing and since I was pleased with a similar product I had purchased at target I had high hopes for each. Total fail, neither made my skin softer or any less dry than before using the product. Just use a generous amount of regular lotion and normal socks and gloves overnight.
Perfectly Posh
I was recently invited to an online party and thought the products looked cool and were reasonably priced so why not give it a try. One of their signature products are “chunks” which are basically giant bars of soap – but they’re supposed to be moisturizing , WRONG! Not only does my chunk make my skin literally squeaky clean (not a good thing, this means all the natural oils have been striped away) but it started to crack and break apart after 3 days. If you like the simplicity of a bar of soap get a dove bar from Target. I also tried the heebie jeebie foot peel which granted is a dis-continued item. It had great promise because it smelled just like the last foot peel I purchased but it was super messy to apply (it comes in a tube instead of pre-treated booties) and worst of all it burned my feet! I couldn’t wear it for the recommended time it was so uncomfortable. Finally I purchased an under eye roller which I don’t have because apparently it is out of stock – but I never received an email or any communication from posh indicating this which is terrible customer service. I called their customer service and the rep was very clueless and rude – she didn’t even say good bye or thanks for calling posh before hanging up! Nothing personal against the person who invited me to the event or the consultant but three strikes and this company is OUT!
Lash Boost
This last one wasn’t a product fail – it does work but it’s one that after seeing the results I don’t need it- especially for the $120 s tube price tag. Here’s my lashes with and without mascara day one:
My before lashes are already pretty dark and long naturally but I figured more length and fullness would be nice, here’s my results:
Although my lashes are longer I don’t think there’s enough of a difference to warrant the price and this product is best for people who don’t already have decent lashes.
So there you have it, some beauty products I won’t be buying again. Not everything can be a winner for every person.
