Last night my Sephora Play! Box arrived
and since it seems like I’m one of the last people to get theirs I feel like an
unboxing would be pointless since everyone’s box is pretty similar. But since I
did get the opportunity to try all the products last night I’ll focus my post
on product reviews rather than showing what’s inside. This month’s therem is
the soft side and focused on neutral basics.

Clinique Pep Start HydroBlur
Moisturizer
Moisturizer
This one is interesting and I’m
still not sure how I feel about it. It has more of a primer feel so on one hand
the lazy part of me likes the idea of a two in one product. On the other hand I
tried this at night and I could definitely “feel” this on my face and I kept
feeling like I needed to wash my face and usually I like a makeup that doesn’t
have an I’m wearing makeup feel about it. I’m intrigued enough though to
continue to use the sample and make a decision with more uses.

Origins GinZin Refreshing Eye
Cream
Cream
This eye cream is unique because it
has a reflective lightner mixed in making it another 2 for 1 product. I’m
terrible about using eye cream on a regular basis but this one might sell me on
regular use.

Sephora Collection Mascara
It’s a mascara. I already have
long lashes so to me in general there’s nothing super special about mascaras
and I feel like it’s such a common sample that its very rare for me to actually
need to buy one.

Tarte Quench Lip Rescue
I(f you like fancy lip balms this
one is for you. Personally it’s too light for me that I’d ever pay for it – I either
want a lipstick with actual color or if I’m going for a nude lip I’ll use a
$2.99 lip balm from Target. But there’s nothing wrong with it and since I have
it I will toss it in my bag and use it.

Too Faced Lip Injection Glossy
I’m not one for a glossy lip but sometimes
I do like some plumping action and this certainly does that. Like most lip
plumpers the fullness does come with a stinging sensation so it’s not a concept
for everyone or something I would do everyday but personally I enjoy the look
for special occasions.

Prada Candy
I was hoping this would be my
perfume sample as I’ve wanted to try it. The scent is a nice sweet and spicy
mix but not in a smells like a five year old girl’s cotton candy body splash
type of way. The first thing that hit me though when I tested it was the
alcohol and for $90 I wouldn’t expect an heavy alcohol base so I’ll pass.
