Blackhead Clearing DIY

Today I’m sharing something I haven’t done in a while – a crazy beauty review!
Lately I’ve seen a lot of buzz about blackhead removing masks and while you can buy them on Amazon for about $9.99 a tube I’ve seen a lot of people post a super easy diy – Elmer’s glue and active charcoal power. Since I already had the charcoal from previous diys and a bottle of glue is $0.99 I decided hey, why not give it a try!
So I poured so glue into a plastic bowl from the dollar tree and empties 5 charcoal capsules into the glue. I stirred until it was fully blended and then used the little soon to spread onto my face – for me I only did the areas where I actually have blackheads because I didn’t want to get it stuck in my hair.

So I actually wound up doing this twice – the first time I thought the glue was dry but apparently it was not and although I got out a bunch of blackheads it was a mess! So, I decided since the glue takes FOREVER to dry just to spread it on again and go to sleep. Super bad pics but here’s what it looked like completely dry in the AM:

It peeled off easily:

And I don’t even need to zoom in to give you all the yucky details but you can see there are blackheads and pore clogging gunk on there:

So yep, this one is totally weird but totally works. I did leave my nose a little read from the spots where blackheads were removed so just something to keep in mind.

I’m excited about this little trick and will be doing it on a regular basis!
