Monobox April 2017

Oh y’all – I’ve been so neglectful of my social media of the past week but I have a good excuse – WE”RE BUYING A HOUSE! I’m sure I’ll have some home posts over the next few months as well move, get settled in and make our house a home and my posts be a little less frequent over the next month but I do have some items to share with y’all included my most recent Monobox.

The Monobox is offered by I Love Jewelry and I have a love / hate relationship with the company. On one hand I love the products and it’s fun to receive a monogramed item every month but on the other the customer service is TERRIBLE if you have any issues and ordering non subscription items from them takes forever to arrive – like 6 to 8 weeks. It’s really frustrating to see the company constantly selling on social media when it’s clear they have problems fulfilling their orders and especially because they promote season and trendy items. So, buyer beware if you order from this company that it will take a really long time.

The monoboxes do however ship on a consistent basis and the theme for April was Rainy Daze.

Each box is $21.95 plus shipping and includes one monogramed item and two accessories. This month’s monogramed item was a rain poncho and came with a matching umbrella and pouch.

The monogram is on the hood of the poncho, I think on the front would have been better but whatever. I’ve already worn mine so my white monogram has gotten dirty.

They say April showers bring May flowers but in Memphis we always seem to get a lot of rain in May. I really like this set because it’s less bulky than my rain jacket and the poncho folds up into the pouch and fits with the umbrella and is lightweight to stick in a purse or suitcase.

I used this set most recently when we were out and about looking at homes on a rainy day and yes, that is our new home in the background. Because it’s thin it doesn’t get hot which rain jackets can get sometimes – perfect for those summer storms.

In the past Monoboxes were announced before the month so you could decide if you wanted it that month but they have now moved towards the items being a surprise, so we’ll see if next month continues to make this subscription worth it but no matter what I know I’ll get lots of use out of this set.
