My wardrobe makeover is focused on investing in quality classic pieces in my closet I think it’s good to get a few inexpensive, trendy pieces each season to keep myself from getting bored or feeling the need to go out and buy everything new. Here’s some of the trends I’ve decided to add to my wardrobe this summer:
White Pants
Every summer I buy a new pair of white linen pants. I’d love to keep them in pristine condition but usually by the end of summer I’ve had enough trips and spills that causes the current pair to be tossed. Knowing that I will NEVER be able to keep white pants for more than a few months I get mine at Old Navy. Old Navy White Linen Pants $25
Palm Print
It seems like palm prints are everywhere this season and while there’s plenty of designers who have embraced this trend there’s also plenty of mass retailers offering this trend at a low price point. I purchased this top from Old Navy for the tropical theme day at work (hence the loud earrings) but I wearing it more subtly styled this summer. My top seems to be sold out online but there’s a similar one available for a great price right now. Old Navy Palm Leaf Tunic $12.97
Off the Shoulder Top
For this trend I decided to get a white poplin blouse to give a seasonal twist on the classic white blouse look – I can wear this with any colored pants and it’s a great way to show off some statement jewelry. Forever 21 White Off the Shoulder Top $19.90
