Birthday Discounts

Woohoo! It’s my birthday week y’all! Birthdays are always a great time for brands to make customers special and each year I’m able to take advantage of some pretty good discounts in July so I thought I would share the love and talk about some of my favorite discounts and how to get them.

My absolute favorite discount is from Kendra Scott! During your birthday month you can receive one regular item at 50% off. It’s your first time you’ll have to show your id in store and sign up for their email list but then once they have you on file you can just go into the store and say that you would like to apply your birthday discount to your purchase and give your email address. This year I purchased the Tatiana Long Pendant Necklace which usually sells for $175. This necklace takes the look of the popular Rayne necklace and really amps it up.

If jewelry is your thing you can also get a $10 credit from Charming Charlie – this discount is sent to Charm Rewards members at the beginning of their birthday month and there is no purchase minimum. Charming Charlie is a great place to pick up trendy jewelry for a great price and right now I’m really into statement earrings – check out my recent post for my favorite selections – so I’ll probably stop by and grab a new pair.

Draper James emailed an offer for 30% one full priced item in store. I also got an ad on instragram recognizing it’s my birthday and provided a code for 20% off online – isn’t the internet wonderful y’all?

Prep Obsessed gives 500 rewards points, Lauren James give 500 points and Mommy Lhey give 200 – both of these companies have customer loyalty program where points can be redeemed for a small gift or store credit – 100 points is worth $1.

Brahmin sends an email offering 10% your next purchase and Aldo offers 20% off anything online or in store both via a unique code sent out via email.

Michaels send a coupon for 50% off any regular priced item.

Vera Bradley sends postcards to shoppers (you need to provide your mailing address when you make an in-store purchase) for 25% off plus a birthday treat if visiting in store. This discount can be used in store, at a Vera Bradley outlet or online.
Rent the Runway sends a $25 credit towards a dress rental during your birthday month – sign up for emails and provide your information to receive this discount. This is a really fun idea if you’re doing something special and want a special dress to celebrate in.

Plus size fashion brand Torrid emails a $10 off your next purchase discount during your birthday months to members of their rewards program. I’m not usually one for shorts but this lace pair is really speaking to me.

Sephora partners with some of the brands carried in-store to offer deluxe samples during your birthday month to beauty insiders, you can sign up in store or online and redeem both ways as well. Last year I received a mini Marc Jacobs lipstick and eyeliner set. This year beauty insiders can choose between Tarte lip and check set (my pick) or Claudalie Moisturizer and serum set – higher level members have exclusive VIB and VIB Rouge options as well.

Most chain restaurants will send an email for a free dessert to members of their rewards program to be used during the birthday month. I shared the molten chocolate cake with Shaun recently at Longhorn – yum! This deal is extended to all the restaurants under the same ownership umbrella – Olive Garden, Capitol Grill, Seasons 52 and a few others we don’t have in the Memphis area.

Some restaurants offer different deals. Red Robin will give you a free burger, Firebirds a $10 discount and The Melting Pot a box of chocolate covered strawberries – which are delicious btw.

Most of these discounts do require some kind of purchase to receive but if its brands you are spending money with anyway it’s certainly worth the effort to join their loyalty programs and receive some extra perks once a year.
