Well I finally decided to get down to one makeup subscription. Don’t get me wrong, $10 is a great price for a makeup bag and five samples but I was finding the products to be a bit repetitive and was on sample overload so I need a break. I decided to keep Sephora Play because I tend to make most of my beauty products from Sephora so I’d rather focus on learning more about products they offer than products that would need to be purchased elsewhere.
The theme for July is Glamp Out Satiation – so products good a for a beauty night in. I do wish the bags with this sub were a little more substantial but this month’s design is really cute.
Here’s what’s inside:
I like this exfoliating cleanser -it’s gentle enough for everyday use and didn’t leave my skin feeling like it had been completely stripped.
I was not impressed with this at all – it’s obviously better than not using any conditioner but I don’t feel like it left my hair silky or soft which is what I expect from a conditioning treatment. I will not purchase this product.
This is a nice enough face mask, it is very light weight and didn’t make my face feel dry or stiff. However, for the price I think there are other rose face masks that are a better buy.
This is a nice shade – a little darker than I prefer a neutral (it goes on darker than it looks in the tube) but it has a smooth application and really adheres to the lips – with that though it does feel a little dry.
This mascara, like a lot of these mascaras these days has a lot of claims to lengthen and volumize your lashes and like more mascaras I find it coats my lashes in black gunk. I just can’t get into the hype of expensive mascaras.
I REALLY like the scent – it will probably be the next perfume I purchase. It’s very feminine but has vanilla mixed in with the floral notes- usually I do not like vanilla in my perfume but here it just works.
So, not a lot of new favorites this month but I still found all the products useful and enjoyed trying them so it still makes the $10 worth it in my opinion.
