Sephora Play August 2017

Y’all – I swear I do more than just go to work and get subscription boxes but lately I’ve been so busy I haven’t had time to blog about anything else. But I did take a few minutes to snap some pics of this month’s Sephora play box so I could show y’all what’s inside.

Beauty Blender Micro Mini 2for $18

I’ll admit, I don’t really “get” this product – it’s so tiny! I don’t mind beauty blenders and during drier weather I appreciate the dewy look they can provide but in Memphis that’s not going to be November at least.

Clinique Mascara $17 and Lash Building Primer $17

I’ve come to conclusion that I just can’t be impressed with mascara- I have pretty dark and long lashes naturally so there’s just no wow factor for me. I’m sure this is perfectly great mascara and I’ll certainty use it.

Alterna Haircare CAVIAR Anti-Aging Miracle Multiplying Volume Mist $30

Say that 5 times fast. That long name basically equates to a nice spray that give style and volume without that stiff crunchy look. I’m not typically one for hair products but I could see myself setting this on the counter and spritzing in the morning.

Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick $46

I liked the formula of this foundation – the application is very smooth, it was bendable and the coverage is good. However, this shade isn’t quite right for me so I can’t really comment on what this is like when actually work for a day.

Korress Golden Krocus Ageless Saffron Elixir Serum $98

This product intrigued me the most and my interest always peaks when a skincare product says it’s for all skin types- how could that be? Although it takes time to see the anti-aging results it did provide a nice glow to the skin so I’ll probably use this in the am with my moisturizer.

My Burberry Black $29 (roller bottle)

I like the scent – it has jasmine, nectar and rose and jasmine and rose are some of my favorite scents so that wasn’t surprising at all.

Overall I feel like this month had nice products but they just were’t ones to my particular taste or needs. Oh well, better luck next month!
