Oversized Sweater Three Ways





As I discussed in my 2019 Style
post I really want to challenge myself this year and wear things a little
differently and mix up my style. It’s so easy to have a favorite outfit and
wear it on repeat but part of the fun of fashion in my opinion is personal
style – and part of that is taking one item and styling it multiple ways.

One of my favorite items currently being that it’s winter is an oversized sweater- in fact I love this style so much I have two very similar sweaters. It’s warm, cozy and super easy to throw on so what’s not to love? My default way of styling is just that –super casual thrown over a pair of skinny jeans or pants with ballet flats and a fun necklace.






 

To dress up this casual look I
swapped the jeans for black skinny pants (ok, actually when I took the photos I couldn’t find my jeans that day but pretend I was wearing them, haha!), the flats for heels and the necklace
for a long scarf and added some sparkly earrings and a clutch. With a regular
purse I could wear this to the office but I think this makes for a really nice
(and comfortable) night out outfit.

On the other end of the spectrum I also wear my
sweater even more casual and use it as an outer layer when coming and going to
the gym. I fully admit that my biggest struggle with the gym is getting there
and I’m not one to run errands in my gym outfit but throwing on my sweater
(which clearly I wouldn’t work out in, lol) gives the look enough style where
I’m not embarrassed to run into Target. I might have even worn my black workout
leggings with boots to the office and just changed shoes at the gym, shhh!
