April doesn’t just mean spring in Memphis is also means fashion! Tickets are completely sold out for this year’s Memphis Fashion Week but what I love about MFW is the inclusiveness – the Trunk Show is open to the public Friday and Saturday and Saturday at 11am there will be a free designer talk also open to the public.
MFW always closes with the Emerging Designer Project Runway Show and it has become quite the popular event – you don’t typically think of Memphis as being a fashion hub but there is a great amount of talent and creativity here! This year Memphis Fashion Design Network (the parent organization of MFW) hosted a preview of the emerging designer works. While it’s always fun to see these works of art come to life on the runway it was really cool to see these pieces up close too – and of course to be able to share with y’all!
A crowded party isn’t the ideal spot for my best photography but I hope y’all enjoy seeing these designs and if you’re local I hope you’ll check out MFW in person.
