Be Kind by Ellen

I love subscription boxes so I was really excited to try the Spring BE KIND Box by Ellen DeGeneres. Each box includes items curated by Ellen that promote kindness in the world, many of which include a non profit donation for each item sold as part of their business model.

The Spring 2020 Box included lots of goodies that I consider to be really useful and have inspired me to think of ways I can reduce waste in my life.

Who doesn’t like lip balm? These are something I can never seem to have enough of – I need one in my purse, one in my desk, one in the car, one in the nightstand . . . well, you get the point. I love that Kind Lips give 20% of proceeds to support anti-bullying campaigns and I love the flavors! The sweet mint is my favorite.

I LOVE chocolate and the only thing better than chocolate is chocolate for a good cause. 10% of Endangered Species chocolate goes to the Dian Fossey Gorilla Project – which is a non profit Ellen supports as well through The Ellen Fund.

Mindful Kids looks like such a fun way to teach your little ones about kindness. We don’t have children yet so I’ll be passing these along to another family to have fun with.

This desk wipe off board is what excited me most in the box. Y’all – my desk is usually litered with post it notes – when I took this into the office I had SEVEN scattered around my keyboard. I just need to write things down to remember them so I’m constantly making myself little notes. One of my favorite things about subscription boxes is getting things I never would have thought to get on my own and for me this one is it. My desk looks so much neater now and I feel that makes me look more professional and put together.

Reusable produce bags is another product that I never would have thought about but I’m really glad they were in the box. I hate the plastic produce bags at the grocery store- first off they take forever just to get open and then they’re not substantial enough to hold more than a few pieces of produce. These bags are super sturdy and I love that they come in different sizes.

This is my second pair of glassed by DIFF Eyewear and I am really impressed with the quality. Aviators are such a classic style and my last pair in this style broke so receiving this was perfect timing. DIFF Eyewear makes a donation to Sightsavers for every pair sold to provide eye exams, surgeries and glasses around the world.

I really love tea so this set was something I immediately got excited about when going through the box. This set comes with sweet Himalayan green tea. saffron chai, and earl grey chai. I was really impressed with the packaging of this set – I’m going to keep it for myself but it would make a nice gift too.

Umbrellas are another thing that I never seem to have enough of and I love the simpleness and positivity of this one. I also love that that it’s made pf a this rubber vs typical umbrella material.

Overall I was really impressed with this box and the value in it. The Box is $54.99 for one time purchase and ships quarterly. Use code Mandysue10 for $10 off your first box! Be Kind by Ellen promises at least $200 worth of product in each box and I feel like this box stays true to that promise. I know that every single item isn’t going to be a hit for every single recipient but my favorite items were worth well over $100 so to me the box is worth it.

I hope you found this review useful and have been inspired to find ways to put a little more kindness into the world!
