I love interacting with y’all when I post on social media but the #1 question I get that isn’t related to anything in particular I’ve posted is “where to get plus size formal wear”. Truth be told my favorite formal wear option offers straight and plus sizes from 0 to 36 – Eshakti! I have nothing against a LBD but it seems like plus size formal wear options are limited to black or mother of the groom dress. During the holiday season several plus size retailers offer a few formal styles but the options are very limited and non existent beyond the holidays. Bridesmaids dresses are also an option but often need to be ordered months in advance, charge extra for plus sizes and often cost $200+. Eshakti is a great way to get nice dress in a wide range of sizes under $150 with plenty of styles to choose from. Because each dress is customized there is a little bit of a lead time – allow about a month for your dress to come in.
I choose the blue and pink scallop hem floral lace dress because I want to show something beyond a black dress and how formal wear can be fun!
The default style for this dress is below the knee, sleeveless and scoop neck.
