Nothing says I’m just giving you this out of obligation like a generic bath set, or if you really want to play into stereotypes – the candle . So please don’t do that! I’ve put together this gift guide of items broad enough to capture the various ladies in your life with items at each price point to fit your budget and are size inclusive to fit your recipient. There’s options to play it safe but also plenty of things that are fun to give and receive.
Sweaters
Can you really ever have enough sweaters? I don’t think so! For sweaters under $50 my favorite comes in fun prints and styles. If it’s in your budget you can’t go wrong with a classic cashmere sweater – grab one in a fun color for a touch of personalization. J.Crew’s version is s great option because they are under $100 and come in xxs up to 3xl. If you’re really looking to splurge a vineyard vines sweater is a great piece that she will hold onto for years!

Wraps
Wraps make a great gift when you are not sure of your recipient’s size. These are very much in style and are available at a variety of price points. I recommend the same brands as I do for sweaters – Lauren Conrad at Kohls, J.Crew and Vineyard vines.

Pajamas
A cozy set of pajamas is another item you can never have enough of in my opinion. With no end in sight to working from home a set of pajamas that are comfortable enough for sleeping and wearing around the house but also work for a zoom meeting are a must have for any woman. My favorite set under $50 are the whimsical sets from Lauren Conrad (I have three sets). My absolute favorite pajamas in the whole world are from Draper James – they are so incredible soft. For a splurge to make her swoon, look to a set of silk pajamas.

Beauty
I really love Charlotte Tilbury for gifting because it’s high quality but also pricey. Charlotte Tilbury is the best at offering shades that flatter everyone in my opinion. Most items and gift sets are going to be on the higher end but there are several options under $50 for a little luxury. Another one of my favorites is Lancome, I am in love with the Idole perfume, the lip stains, the cheek palettes and eyeshadows. Every year I get the holiday blockbuster for myself because it is such a great deal! I am really loving the pink chrome case of this year’s set! Finally, if you really want to splurge look at a La Mer gift set. I wouldn’t usually say face cream is a great gift but I’ve tried a lot and this really is the best, the price point is a little more manageable during the holidays but definitely only give this to someone who would really be happy with it since it is a little unconventional.

Jewelry
Jewelry is another area where Draper James has been killing it in my opinion. The pieces are well made, versatile and classic with a touch of trendy. Kendra Scott is also always a good idea in my opinion – my personal favorite is the Rayne necklace. Look for promotions during the holiday season that often include gifts with purchase – this is great for gifting or keeping for yourself. For splurge pieces she’ll love look to the beautiful statement pieces of Julie Vos, this has been on my wish list for years and I’m hoping this is the year I get a piece!

Gloves
I don’t think gloves are really appreciated in 2020 but a great pair can really be the perfect finishing touch. A lot of people prefer gloves that match their coat but I think this can also be a way to add a fun pop of color. When spending under $50 you’ll find gloves in soft fabrics, leather lined with fleece or even a fun pair of mittens. Right over $50 and you can get classic leather gloves with a silk or cashmere lining that just feel oh so luxurious to wear. For a gift that wows, designer gloves with fun embellishments add a pop to the most plain of winter coats. My favorite pair is leather with leopard print calf hair.

Shoes
I’ll be honest, I’m at a point in my life where cheap shoes aren’t worth it. So while there’s nothing wrong with buying a gift under $50 I do recommend at this price point going with a nice pair of slippers. If you can spend a little more look at a pair of ballet flats. Like cashmere sweaters this is something I like to collect in various colors. Margaux flats are typically $148 but they will have one of their only sales of the year in November so be on the lookout to grab them for closer to the $100 price point. They also come in narrow, medium and wide widths. J crew’s ballet flat is under $100 when on sale but does not come in as many options. If you are near a Tory Butch outlet they offer ballet flats in several colors around this price point. If budget is not a concern check out Loeffer Randal – the Penny Bow sandal is on my wish list! While these shoes are pricey they are versatile and well made.
