I’m pretty sure I have mentioned this once or twice but the Kitty Dress from Draper James is my favorite dress ever! And the magnolia print is my favorite DJ print – so naturally I had to have the Navy Magnolia Kitty Dress and I had to have fun styling it three ways.
If I’m being perfectly honest, the kitty dress doesn’t really need much styling. This throw on and instantly look cute quality is what I love about this dress. It’s incredibly comfortable which makes it perfect for working from home but also entirely presentable. I initially tried belting it with a wide navy belt but ultimately decided it was too much and just paired with simple blue ballet flats.
Since it is fall I thought a layered look would be good and topped it with a denim jacket , hat, and booties. I think this look adds a little personality to the look without taking away from the print.
For my third look I did something I have been wanting to do with this style dress for a while know but haven’t been able to find the right top – wearing it with just the skirt showing. This cozy cardigan finally fit the bill as it’s oversized enough to fit without the fabric bunching up under the sleeves. I’ve also been wanting to try the ruffle sock with heels trend and leaning into the cottage core look seemed like the perfect time to do so.
At the end of the day I do mostly wear this dress on it’s own but it’s fun to play around and see what I already have that could work. I hope this post has inspired you to play around with the pieces in your closet and convinced you that you need this dress in your life!
