OMG! It finally feels like fall in Memphis . . . . YAAAAAAY! Pretty much all of my favorite clothes are for fall so I’m so excited to pull them out from the upstairs closet and bring them into regular rotation!
There’s something about plaid to me that screams fall so I have more plaid pieces than I probably need but this jacket from Draper James last year is my absolute favorite. Because this is from last year’s collection it’s no longer available but I linked the version they have for this year and another brand with a similar color below. The price point on this one was a little higher than I typically spend on one article of clothing but it’s a very good quality piece – I wore this a lot last season and when I pulled it out of the closet a few days ago I assure you it looks brand new, and I am not the gentlest person when it comes to my clothes. I have no doubt that I will be wearing this piece for years to come.
Also purchased last year was this green and blue check wrap. Of the three featured it this was the favorite by a long shot when I asked for suggestions on what to wear to an event. Not only is the style great but it’s cozy without being heavy, it doesn’t wrinkle and it’s effortless chic. This wrap is from the Crown and Ivy brand at Belk but I’ve yet to find a similar piece in this year’s collection so if you can’t find it on ebay (it also comes in blue and red and man I regret not buying that one as well) I’ve linked a similar style below.
My most recent piece is from The Loft and I did purchase it this year (it’s currently 50% off). I love how this one looks belted or unbelted and I think it has great versatility.
Despite having three great pieces I still have a few more on my wish list. I should note that although I am plus sized none of these wraps are, they’re probably a little less loose on me than they are meant to be but I personally love that they can be worn loose or belted / pinned for a more fitted look.
