In August I got to attend a fun blogger event at a boutique in Collierville, TN – Southern Muse. Southern Muse is such a fun store and the owner Kim and her staff are so very nice!

The store was fully stocked with fall fashions for the event – check out this fabulously styled outfit:

I wound up selecting a soft kimono with a tassel trim. I know, just one thing, what? Well to be honest I haven’t finished picking my fall fashion picks yet – at this event I had yet to receive my September Issue of Vogue or my Trunk Club box , now that I have both and the later turned out to be a bust I’m putting together my wish list and will have to go back. There was a fun red tunic with bell sleeves I was thisclose to buying.

I’ve already worn it twice it’s such a fun piece – but my bad on not hanging it back up and realizing it was wrinkly before taking this photo.

In addition to great fashion Southern Muse also has lots of beautiful accessories, gift items, cosmetics and bath items. The even have an in house make-up artist; Matt is amazing BTW.  I’ve been less than thrilled with my current foundation from Sephora so Matt was kind enough to provide some samples for me to try.

Pretty necklace tree, yes please!

By the fitting room there’s a pretty “living room” area set up so plenty of space for boyfriends and hubbys – I know Shaun always looks for the “man chair” when he’s shopping with me and the more comfortable he is the more he’ll be ok watching me try on everything in a store.

Like many stores Southern Muse features boutique sizes – many items are generous in fit so I’d say you’ll have the best luck with clothing here up to a size 16.

I was really glad to check out this store and now I have a new place to shop for gifts and myself. Thanks so much to Kim Clark of Southern Muse for hosting this event and Kim Thomas of KP Fusion for inviting me. To keep up with local style you should follow both Southern Muse and KP Fusion on instagram.

**This post is reviewing a local business I was invited to check out at a blogger event, the clothing item I am wearing was purchased with my own money but I did receive several complimentary beauty items. All opinions are my own**
