Mommy Lhey Little Bits May 2017

I debated posting a review of this month because they were a few issues with the May Little Bits box but I think part of the reason blogger reviews are more trusted than a product advertisement is because they are authentic – at least they are supposed to be. To me it’s completely unrealistic that every subscriber is going to love every single item in a subscription so when a review is just constant swooning it seems well,. super fake to me, – and I never want to be like that.

The May box arrived in June due to a delay in shipping the notebook – Mommy Lhey was incredibly transparent about the process and provided multiple updates. Hey , stuff happens and at the end of the day it’s just stationary items and I think Mommy Lhey handled the process completely professionally and I have no complaints. I was very excited on Monday when I received the box to dig in and see all the goodies:

The contents of the May box with two items missing – I will address that at the end of this post.

This traveler’s notebook is certainly worth the wait! I’ll need to take a picture of all three together but I think this one might be my favorite I love the color and that it came with a matching pen.

Here’s some of the “little bits” this month:

Bookmarks. stamp set. washi, die cuts, planner clip, sequins, stencils and a cute pouch.

This month’s stickers:
There were also some puffy stickers but I couldn’t get a good photo of them. I received a duplicate of one of my sticker sheets so I’m not sure if it was an extra or there’s another sheet design, not a big deal worth making a fuss over. I love the color scheme this month and think these are really cute!

As always, the box included a card with information on digital downloads – I’m obsessed with the tassel print paper and have a feeling I’ll be making multiple prints with it.

If you’re looking at this and comparing the product mix to previous months you might feel like there are less items. This month’s box also came with sticky notes and a planner charm but I have chosen to discard these items. Ordinarily if it’s just something not to my taste I would show the item but this month’s items gave me some pause. The theme of the May box is Wild and Free and some of the items are symbolism from Native American culture and although the design is very pretty I don’t feel like this is the appropriate use for such a symbol / sacred item. Although I’m disappointed these items were included I fee like even without them the box is a good value.  I understand that these items are “trendy” right now and I don’t think any ill will was meant with their inclusion – but again I want to be completely honest with my experience as a subscriber and my true thoughts on the included items.
Sign ups are closed for June, which has a beach theme, but occasionally there are extras at the end of the month if you keep up with Mommy Lhey on social media. Sign ups are currently available for July through June 18th  which has a very girly and floral look – the theme will be Me, Myself and I. Boxes can be purchased as a subscription or as a one time advance purchase. I’m looking forward to my next two boxes!
