Of all the beauty products I’ve ever tried this one is has the most combination of yuck and fascination. While I was busy living under my wedding planning rock last year a new trend emerged in the beauty world – foot peels. When I friend posted about doing on herself I knew I had to give it a try. I used the brand baby foot which I purchased off amazon for $18.
Honestly, I don’t know the the deal with my feet are; I don’t wear heels to often, I get regular pedicures, bathe daily, I’m not a runner and I use lotion on the regular but still I have cracked heels, calluses and just in general yucky feet.
Here’s my foot on day 1 before starting the peel process. See what I mean?
The peel itself is very simple, the booties are pre-filled with the treatment and its recommended to soak feet first. To keep the booties secure I covered with fuzzy socks and chilled out while waiting for the magic to happen.
For the first week my feet were a little more dry than usual but no peeling, but after soaking my feet on day 7 I got this:

After two weeks the top of my feet started peeling and it looked like the bottoms were almost done.
At day 16 the flakiness was gone and I was left with this:
The entire process was interesting and I’d say the results were better than a pedicure but took a really long time – next time I’ll be sure to soak my feet daily because that’s what seemed to help the most. One thing for ladies to consider though is that it’s actually pretty painful to wear heels with “baby feet”, there’s a reason those ugly calluses develop – I think my end result would have been better if I hadn’t worn heels during this process so maybe don’t do it right before the holidays like I did or a big event. I’ll probably do this again before the summer when I tend to wear flats or sandals.
This one has to be one of the oddest beauty treatments I’ve tried yet. Stay turned to see how my lashes have been growing later this month. I also have a bunch of face masks on the way to try.
