I was really nervous to try Box of Style because I couldn’t find any plus size gals rocking the pieces so on the blog I’m sharing my experience with the select edition 2020 box.
The Box of Style select edition box includes a wrap , eye shadow palette, watch, belt (available in S/M or L/XL) and the choice of earrings or a necklace.
The wrap was obviously a concern as it didn’t look to have an overwhelming amount of fabric on the smaller models, so would it be enough for me? I am please to report the answer is yes! I love the way this wrap looks both draped open and belted. This brings us to the next item which is also one I was worried about – the belt. The measurements given online indicated the belt should work but I saw so many reviews that it was too small. I honestly don’t understand the fuss because it fit my size 22 waist just fine, I don’t have a long tail on it but honestly I really like it and will use it often.
Even though the earrings were a safer choice because earrings always fit I decided to give the layered necklace a try because I love how it looks styled with the wrap and it’s different from my typical style. Once again no issues – with the necklace in the loosest setting I think it drapes nicely over a turtleneck on me. I could tighten it for more of a choker fit but I just love the placement at this setting.
The box also came with a rose gold watch. I wasn’t in the market for a new watch but I do like the simple elegance of this one and have worn in frequently since receiving Box of Style. I have it on the 2nd to last notch and it’s loose enough to move around my wrist but not enough that it flops around when I move my arm.
The last item is the eye-shadow palette. This one obviously has no size concerns but I was my first time using the Lorac brand. I found the colors to be beautiful and not only do the compliment the cape and gold jewelry in the box but are great neutrals to wear any day.
As if I wasn’t pleased enough with the Box of Style Select Edition they are currently offering a free vegan leather tote. Although I didn’t need another tote I do love the light blush color and it’s a great size for everyday so I definitely will use it.
I’m glad that I decided to give Box of Style a try and if you are considering it I would recommend taking the leap and purchasing the box. I’m looking forward to see what will be in the Spring 2020 box but will be getting a lot of enjoyment from from the select edition items while I wait.
