Unlike most sales which are at the end of the season, the Nordstrom Sale presents shoppers the opportunity to purchase fall merchandise on sale at the start of the season. Over the years I have changed my approach to the sale, in the beginning I used to focus on items I thought would be big trends for fall. While I still think the Nordstrom Sale is a great way to get a pulse on fall trends I like to use it as an opportunity to shop staple pieces with a trendy item or two thrown in
Wether you have one or not, if you have even a slight interest in fashion you’ve probably heard of “The Nap Dress”. This viral sensation has been covered by a variety of media outlets and can be seen all over social media
I saw a lot of sponsored ads on IG for JessaKae and I was very intrigued. The brand offers beautiful dressed in the cottage core / grand millennial / girly aesthetic up to size 4x so it seemed like a good fit for my lifestyle.
I am a bit of a clothes hoarder – I have over 135 dresses alone! But, I do try and make sure that new pieces can mix into my wardrobe with other pieces I already own. Skirts are great pieces for mixing and matching and I love how they can be dressed up or dressed down. If you’ve been following me for a while you know I’m a huge fan of Draper James. Draper James rarely does skirts (they are really known for their beautiful but approachable dresses and are a big part of my 135 collection, lol). So, when I saw a skirt in their signature magnolia print in fall colors I knew I had to have it and this would be a piece I would be able to frequently restyle.
